It's been so dark and cold, and so the Black Tarot felt most appropriate for a reading. I shuffled the cards and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. I don't know who the reading is for, so feel free to share so that the right person is found. Has it happened across your feed? See if it's for you. I never know until it's posted, but it's Always for someone.

This week's reading was done on The Avian Tarot by Brttany Lyn Batchelder. It is a perfect combination of Birds and Tarot. It makes me look up birds that I do not recognize a lot, and I appreciate that! I am learning a lot about Birds while working with this deck. I shuffled the cards and asked for a message for someone who will see this post. Check it out and share- I want to make sure that the person that this reading is for will see it.

Happy halfway point of Winter! This week, I am starting up my online Tarot class, 78 Days of Tarot. It is a class I used to teach constantly, and now I only run it once every year or two. It is the class that so many have said unlocked Tarot for them. I think that the reason for this is that the class focuses on intuition and relationship with the cards, as opposed to memorization. It is a journey- not a class. Let me know if you wish to join!

Greetings to the friends of Iris X Readings! I do hope everyone is doing ok in the storm out there. Snow and ice and chaos in more ways than one. Where I live, it looks like we will get a few feet of snow! Let's see- weather prediction is far more iffy than Tarot prediction in my opinion. ;) Stay warm and safe and off the roads. It's a good day to slow down, and so I decided to do today's reading on The Slow Tarot by Lacey Bryant (and influenced by a favorite tarot reader of mine- Drew Clark). I love working with this beautiful deck and it does remind me to slow down. I was told that the artist spent a lot of time crafting the Cups cards of the deck; researching by way of painting various types of special tea cups. I love the attention to detail and the dark whimsy of this deck. I shuffled the cards and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. I don't know who it will be for until it is posted- read on and see if it's for you or someone that you know!

Greetings to the friends of Iris X Readings!
I am back from Isla Mujeres and catching up on messages! Here's a perplexing suggestion I received in one of my messages. "You should use chatgpt to write the weekly readings for you! You are doing far too much work!!! It could generate a reading for you every day and you would just have to post it!"

Happy New Year to the friends of Iris X Readings! I shuffled The Hush Tarot by Jeremy Hush and asked for a reading for someone who will read this post. I never know who it will be for until I post it. Read on and see if it's for you! I love this deck- it's perfectly dark and somber with a bird theme. Right down my alley! Also- check out my website, and make sure that you are signed up for updates via newsletters. I promise, I won't send a lot of messages. If I manage one message a month, I'm doing well! https://www.irisxtarot.com/contact

Happy holidays to the friends of Iris X Readings! This week's reading was done on the Minchiate al Cigno- a Tarot deck from Bologna, 1775. I have always been drawn to the old traditional Tarot decks, though they are challenging (or perhaps Because they are challenging.) This one is not an easy one to follow. The order is not familiar. The 12 zodiac signs and the Virtues are added. This is a 97 card Tarot deck, and takes some work to understand. I shuffled the cards and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. I never know who it will be for until I post it. This one is for someone who feels like they are lost, floating, and not sure of what to do. Read on- see if it's for you or someone that you know.

It's a busy week, but I am available on Wednesday and Friday for readings- and you can still get gift certificates for the holidays! I highly recommend the New Year's reading at this time of the year which focuses on every month of 2026 in your life. This week's reading was done on the Joie de Vivre Tarot by Paulina Cassidy. This is my favorite Tarot deck for times that are dark and heavy. It is dark in more ways than one these days- my hope is that these bright cards shine a light. I shuffled the cards and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. I never know who the reading is for until I post it- read on and see if it's for you.
