Iris X Reading of the Week/Week beginning on 11/9/2026

I don't have much time today, so this will be a shorter and more 'to the point' reading! I am working with The Raven's Dream Tarot by MJ Cullinane. I shuffled the deck and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. I never know who these weekly readings are for until I post them. Read on- see if it's for you or someone that you know. Feel free to share!

The reading begins with the III of cups; a card of friendship, cooperation and support. If this is your reading, you have really good people in your life. They support you and help you to grow and be successful. This is a sweet card, to my way of thinking. It is the only card in the Tarot deck specifically focused on the impact of friendship. To get this card in a reading shows that you are lucky in the realm of people.

But there's another side to this story. The next card is the V of Swords. This is a card showing a person that you have to separate yourself from. It is a person that is in your life who only focuses on themselves. They ignore you, talk over you, and are generally quite selfish. They are as challenging as the III of cups is supportive. The answer with this card is to walk away, or to get as much distance as you can. The person is not able to make room for anyone in their life who isn't a constant fan.

This next one feels like it could be speaking of the same person, or of someone else- a bit worse. The VII of Swords appears next; the card of the thief. This is more malicious and manipulative. There is a person in your life that is taking your energy; and doing it quite on purpose. Whether they are taking physical items from you or they are taking your energy or happiness/excitement about things- this is a person you will want to distance yourself from altogether. They will lie, cheat, and do things right behind your back.

The key in this reading is the Queen of Swords. This is a card of wisdom and discernment. It's not always easy to tell who you are dealing with out in the world, and it is important to have sharp intuition and vision. And then, to not question what you see. It is not judgmental to use wise judgment. Use your past experiences and wisdom to make good choices. And then, when necessary- use that sword to cut ties.

Here's what I see. The person that this reading is for is starting to figure out who their friends are. It's complicated. There are very good people surrounding you if this is your reading. You have some of the best friends you could ask for. And then, your kind and open nature also draws people who are there to drain energy. There are some that only speak of themselves and are self centered. Then, you also attract people who are more dangerous and out to take from people. You have to be really careful. But you are getting more wise and you are able to see the difference. Don't question your judgment and intuition- if you have a negative feeling about a person in your life- create more distance. If it's worse than that, cut them out of your life. You don't have time or a need for people like this in your life when you are surrounded by really good friends. Focus on the right people and do great things together. Distance yourself from the rest. Basically- do no harm but take no shit.

Have a great week! If you need a reading this week, send a message to irisxtarot@gmail.com.
