Greetings to the friends of Iris X Readings! This week's reading was done on The Pulp Tarot by Todd Alcott. This is a bright and brilliant deck that is described as 'a new Tarot deck that approaches the classic images of the Rider-Waite-Smith deck from the point of view of this modern cultural blender.' I shuffled the cards and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. Read on, see if it's for you or someone you know. And thank you to the people who share these readings, I really appreciate it.
The reading begins with the Ten of Swords. If this is your reading, you have really been through it. It has been one thing after another, and every time you get up, something else knocks you down. The good news is that the Tens in Tarot represent completion- and this is a good suit to be wrapping up. Things should start to let up and improve. It may take some time to begin to feel better and believe that the other shoe isn't about to drop, but you have made it through the worst of it.
The Page of Wands shows up next as a messenger of change. I often see the message of the Page of Wands to be 'official' or something that is true that needs to be heard loud and clear. I pulled another card to see the message, and The Devil appears. You have had something in your life that has been draining every bit of your energy. You feel like you have a chain around your neck, and that you can't get up without dragging it around with you. There is likely something particular in your life that is causing all of this trouble, and the message is to remove the chain and walk away.
The Ace of Pentacles comes up next, showing new positive opportunities. It is about time. After a time of troubles, you are about to have a really good opportunity pop up for you. You should follow it when you see it. The Aces are the ideals of the suit, and represent the beginning of something new. This is something that could put your feet on the ground and help you to become more prosperous. It's a place to start, and an opportunity that should not be missed.
The key to this reading is the Ten of Wands. This is another ten, showing completion and using your wit to manage the challenges and burdens that have come your way. This is the second time that the reading says that there is something that has been challenging you and holding you back, and it is about to let up. It's not easy to manage the ten of wands, but you are able to pull everything together and be successful.
Here's what I see. If this is your reading, you have a Devil in your life. Might be a person or a situation- and it is draining your power and energy. It's time to cut the tie and walk away from this situation. It has put you through one challenge after another, and you need a break. Life should not be this consistently difficult. You have to be careful to not miss positive opportunities right now. You have an Ace coming your way, and it is something that could really improve your life. Pay attention. You are showing all of the signs of being able to make it through a time that has truly troubled you, and to move forward in a way that is positive and productive. I have found energy to be magnetic. When there is a Devil situation holding you down in your life, it can feel like everything just keeps going badly. When you are able to walk away, opportunities pop up. And that is magnetic too. When one thing goes well, other things in your life start to follow suit. It's time to put the brakes on and change the direction that things are going right now. If you do, you will be able to make it through the challenges that have held you down, and your life is going to improve a lot.
Have a great week this week. If you need to book a reading, send me a message at irisxtarot@gmail.com. May fortune always find you and yours!
