Iris X Reading of the Week/Week beginning on 8/5/24:

Hello to the friends of Iris X Readings! This week's reading was done on The Raven's Dream Tarot by MJ Cullinane. It probably doesn't surprise people that this is a deck that I Had to have. But I was not sure that I would like it. It's hard to not be focused on mistakes in illustration of my favorite bird. The Raven's Dream Tarot is so beautiful and whimsical. I love the feeling of the cards, the deep colors, and the imagery of the Ravens. You would think it would be tough to create a whole deck on Ravens without it feeling repetitive, but she did a fabulous job. This lover of Ravens loves this Tarot deck. I shuffled it and asked for a reading for someone who would see this post. I never know who it is for until it is posted. This one is about someone that is intuitive and picks up on too much- which makes them want to save the world when what they need to do is stay calm. Read on- see if it's for you! 

The reading begins with The Wheel of Fortune. This is a card of the powers of Fate and synchronicity. You are in a time when everything is changing very fast. The Wheel spins, and you don't know where it will stop next. You feel like you are along for the ride, and you are not wrong. You are in a time when everything will change. Nothing is ever the same after the Wheel of Fortune. Fate leaves nothing untouched. You feel dizzy and like you don't know what to expect next. 

The High Priestess appears next. Through this time of spinning change, there is a part of you that is still and silent- sensing it all as a witness. This is the part of you that is a few steps back, observing in a neutral state. You can see the patterns of what is happening, and you know that you stand at a gateway. Follow your instincts instead of your fears. Connect with the part of you that is still and watching. 

The Empress wraps up the trio with a sense of needing to help. The Empress is active where the High Priestess is passive. You want to caretake others and create. You want to follow your passions and see where they lead you. You are inspired creatively and want to make something that will outlast you. You are feeling drawn to action and following your heart. You have a lot of power- and you want to make something out of it. 

The key to this reading is the Page of Pentacles. Our messenger of the suit of Earth had something that you should know. This card often shows a message from the future- something our future self may tell you right now. I pulled another card to get a sense of the message that the Page is offering, and the card that came up is the Two of Swords. Protect your heart and look inside. Don't let yourself get pulled along in the current- stay still at the shore watching the tides come in and out. There is a lot that hasn't been revealed yet, and you need to be paying close attention. Meditate and stay in control of your mind. 

Here's what I see. If this is your reading, everything is out of control right now. Fate has stepped in, and now a lot of the plans that you had in the past don't make sense anymore. Everything is changing, and you have no choice but to go along with the Wheel and see where you land next. As you feel out of control, you actually have a good instinct on what is going on and what you should do. The High Priestess shows the part of you that is non-reactive and wise. The other side of you is more active- as the Empress you want to save the world, create beautiful things and to follow your heart and passions. You feel protective over everyone in your life, and you want to take care of people. But the key right now is that it is important for you to be taking care of yourself. The II of Swords tells you to sit back and observe. Meditate and be in control of your thoughts. Know that there is more to be revealed that has yet to come up. Follow your instincts and take care of people- but remember to take care of you too. Stay calm and in balance.
