Greetings to the friends of Iris X Readings! This week's reading was done on a Tarot deck that was just gifted to me by one of my favorite Tarot /fortune teller friends. The deck is called The Slow Tarot, and is created by Lacey Bryant with the wisdom of Drew Clark. This is a beautiful and whimsical deck that is very welcoming and easy to work with. I love the more subdued tones and enchanted scenes. I should also take this opportunity to say that you can buy your own Tarot decks- that's an old superstition that you cannot. Most of us Tarot card readers end up as collectors as well! Still- it is nice to have a Tarot deck gifted to you from time to time. I shuffled the Slow Tarot and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. Read on and see if it's for you!
The reading begins with the Eight of Cups. There are times that you have to stack up what you have been working on, walk away and find what has been missing. Just like the birds who know when it's time to migrate, you have to know when it is time to leave too. There is a subtle energy that tells you that something feels off- something is missing. You can ask other people for help, but there are times that the missing cup can only be found by you. If this is your reading, a walk and a vision quest are in order. Take the break and wander away to find your answers.
The Seven of Coins appears next, showing a card game with some sneaking around going on. This is a card of intention and knowing when to stay in the game and when to fold. If this is your reading, your actions and choices are determining the path ahead. Move slowly and with great intention. Keep your eye on what is happening, and have a future plan that makes sense. What you are doing will be effective as long as you are paying attention to the game and your strategy.
The Magician appears next, showing you weaving the web of fate. You will be working to create something in your life, and it will be directed by your willpower, cunning, and the fateful powers. Once you figure out the actions that you need to take, you will have to pull the right threads at the correct time to manifest your goals. You bring the dreams you have through the web of fate and down into the present- no matter what it takes to make that happen.
The Hanged Man is the key in this reading. There are times when you have to suspend all activity to see things clearly. If you look at the Hanged Man, he has a web in his fingers- similar to the web of the Magician. He is working out what to do next, creating a smaller web to work with. The Hanged Man is a card of silence and waiting- with the knowledge that the wisdom that you seek may come to you when you flip the situation upside down and think outside the box.
Here's what I see. If this is your reading, you know that something is missing. You can't count on other people for the answers that only you have, and so you would be wise to follow the instinct that you have to take a walk to find your missing cup. You will learn a lot by being on your own for a little while. Take a walk and let the forest answer your questions. Once you have your answers, you will know just what you need to do. Then, it will be time to make it all happen. You will have to be very intentional about your plans and knowing how to work with your ideas to manifest them into reality. It will be important to be the Magician and think around corners. Use your wit and cunning to find a way to manifest your goals. But you can't act until you know what to do. And you will not know that until you suspend all activity. Take a break. A vacation. A walk or a vision quest. You can't always find your answers in the traditional sense, and it feels like there are larger forces at play here. Once you know what to do, you will be able to pull the threads of fate to make it so. But first- you need a break and some silence. The answers will come to you when you expect it least. Sometimes, action is the answer. Other times it is contemplation. Correct timing and knowing when to move and when to wait are the key to manifesting your goals.
Have a great week! If you need a reading, send a message to irisxtarot@gmail.com.
