Iris X Reading of the Week/Week beginning on 4.22.24:

This week's reading was done on a very interesting Tarot deck- Fairy Lights Tarot. Each card has a 'match' in the deck, and if you put the two cards together, you have a full painting. The pairings are not basic- there is a lot of thought put behind each one. I shuffled the cards and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. I never know who it will be for until I post it! This reading is for a person that is used to being alone- but there may be an opportunity for a connection that would be good to look into! 

The reading begins with The Hermit. If this is your reading, you have been on your own for quite some time. You are comfortable that way. It gives you time to be in your own space, to read books, and to take walks. You prefer to be alone- and so, when it comes to relationships, it would have to be a very good connection for you to give up your solitude. You have been happy on your own for a really long time, and you are not wanting to give that up. You enjoy the quiet. 

The Lovers comes up next. Don't we always find things when we are Not looking for them? This is a card of passion and choice. The Lovers represents following your passion. Someone might catch your eye, or try to get close to you. In terms of relationships, this is a balanced connection that doesn't take up all of your time. It is a supportive structure allowing you to follow your goals and dreams. It doesn't hold you back, it supports you. 

The Moon appears with a lot of uncertainty. You are used to knowing what is going to happen, and letting a new person into your life might shake up the predictability. This would be a cycle of feeling confused and like you don't know what is going on. But you would soon settle into a pattern. The thought of not knowing what is going to happen brings up a lot of anxiety. But you are a dreamer too- and you have always wanted a supportive relationship that allows you to follow your goals and dreams.

The key to this reading is The Chariot. You like being on the move, and you have a lot of goals. A relationship has to be able to keep up with you or support you (ideally both!) You are an inspired person with a lot to share with the world. This is your focus, and you don't want a person to take away from that. You are driven, and you have a lot to do. 

Here's what I see. If this is your reading, you are happy alone. You have been by yourself for a long time, and you know just what to expect. It gives you the time and space that you need to pursue your goals, and you don't want to lose your independence. But there is a possibility that there is a person coming into your life. This would be someone who is supportive and kind- and gives you your space to pursue your passions. You will feel unsure about this because it throws everything up in the air. It could bring in a lot of good- but you are worried that it will hold you back. You like knowing what is going to happen, and you are afraid to jump into the realm of dreams and give up your control. But the key is that you have a possible connection that will still allow you to do what you are meant to do in the world. I wonder if your past in relationships leads you to believe that a person will take away your time and independence. This is not the opportunity that you have right now- it would be a person that is really supportive of your dreams- and gives you the space and time you need to make it all happen. This does not mean that you Must get close to the new person. You really like being alone, and you are wary of giving up your space and peace. All I will say is that it is a good idea to consider letting your guard down. Some relationships don't take anything away from you- and in fact, can help you to accomplish your goals.
