Iris X Reading of the Week/Week beginning on 8/23/26:
Hello to the friends of Iris X Readings! This week, I am working with the Raven's Dream Tarot by MJ Cullinane. I love this deck for obvious reasons (my love of Corvids!) but I also love the bright colors and thoughtfulness that went into the creation of each card. It is absolutely a favorite deck of mine. I shuffled the cards and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. I am not sure who it is for- I never know. Sometimes it is for one person, other times it is for a crowd. Then there are times that I realize later that it was for me. Read on- see if this reading is for you or someone that you know.
The reading begins with the Knight of Swords. If this is your reading, you have been very busy. You have been running constantly and feeling at times like you're spinning your wheels. Things have been fast moving and challenging, and it is all starting to take a toll on you. You feel like life is rushing past and you can't take a moment to stop and live. You are exhausted, but the circumstances of life are making you need to be on the move.
The Sun is next in this reading. You need a break. You need unplanned time where you feel free and at peace. When no one is asking you for anything or needing you for anything. An adventure would do you some good. Some time with your friends where you can just relax and be. This is a card of clarity; and quite often when we take a break, we walk away with insight. You need time and freedom to be able to gain the clarity and purpose that you are seeking.
The Eight of Cups appears next, showing a vision quest. With this card, you feel this sense that something is missing. Something isn't quite coming together and making sense in your life. And you need some time to shut down a little bit to figure it out. This is a card of seeking what is missing and lost, often through a long walk alone in the woods. You are in an important stage in your life, and you haven't had a chance to slow down a little bit to realize it. It is important to stop so that you can reflect and regroup.
The key to this reading is the Wheel of Fortune. This is a card of the spinning wheel. As you are busy, time still spins forward. It's important to pay attention so that you don't miss something that you are meant to do, see or understand. This is the card of the powers of Fate, and when it appears in a reading, there is something larger at work in your life. It is hard to notice when you are weaving threads in your life that ultimately changes everything. The Wheel is spinning- something important is happening. Pay attention.
Here's what I see. If this is your reading, you are in a dead run all of the time. You don't get a chance to pause to look at your life and what you want to happen. You are doing all that you can to get through day to day life; but you are challenged by life and by never getting a break. But it's important to slow down right now. There is something really important happening- the powers of Fate have stepped into your life, and your actions right now will make big changes in your future. Start off by taking a break without any pressure. Enjoy some freedom and live your life. The Wheel spins and the Sun shines- go out and be a part of it all. But ultimately, it feels important to figure out why you have been feeling like something important is missing or not coming together in your life. It seems that an adventure of the Sun may lead to you gaining deeper insights than you had planned for. You can't make it happen; all you can do is just let yourself Be for a bit. See if you can hush the chattering inner voice so that you can quietly experience the world around you. And when you are not thinking about anything at all, you will find that important insights pop up. Pay attention to these thoughts. The winds of fate are in this reading, and there is a big change up ahead. See if you can find a place of peace, stillness and ease in your life. Wander in the woods or by the sea. Fate is spinning some power in your direction. Pay attention so that you can take advantage of the opportunities that are coming your way. If you are too busy- you may miss what is right in front of your face.. or charge by so fast that you don't notice anything at all.
