Iris X Reading of the Week/Week beginning on 6/15/26:

This week's reading was done on The Avian Tarot, created by Brittany Lyn Batchelder. It is a fantastic deck of 78 birds that have very interesting connections to the cards! I shuffled the deck, and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. I never know who it is for until I post it. Sometimes, it is for one person. Other times it is for a crowd! Then, there are also times that I figure out later that the reading was for me all along. Read on- see if this one is for you!

The reading begins with Justice/Eagle. If this is your reading, the scales in your life are finally coming back into balance after something unfair happened. With Justice, the laws of nature happen as they are meant to, and if something offsets the way that things are supposed to be, there is a force that makes sure that what was wrong is made right. This is a card of what is right, and holding yourself and the world accountable for making it so. Honesty, trust, and balance all come into play with Justice and the scales reset.

The Knight of Wands/Hamercop appears next, showing a concern that things will move forward and then lose momentum and come to a stop again. With this card, the energy is good at the beginning of a task, but wanes and loses focus as time goes on. There has been start up/stop energy in this situation that you are in, and you are hoping that the movement picks up and remains steady.

The Four of Swords/Common Poorwill show you feeling nervous and frozen. You are worried about making any move or upsetting the balance. So, you have ceased movement forward and are in a state of rest while you wait to see what will happen next. You are pretty exhausted, and shown in traditional tarot laying down with the Sword that has caused your challenge. It is a time of regrouping, but you are not comfortable. You may be worried about what will happen next. And so, you stay still.

The key to this reading is the Ace of Pentacles /California Quail. This is a card of an opportunity that is successful. You have an option in front of you that is going to work. You will be handed what you have been hoping for, and you will move forward after a time of being still. The key is that what you are hoping for will materialize.. hang in there.

Here's what I see. If this is your reading, there is something that you have been waiting a long time for. There is something that happened that was not fair, and this offset the scales. Nature corrects this imbalance, and you are about to see a change for the better. But you are skeptical. You think to yourself- this happened before and then nothing followed through. You worry that everything will come to a screeching halt, and what seemed positive will vanish in front of you. You have been through a lot, and you are worried about doing anything at this point. You feel frozen, silent and unsure of the future. But the Ace key tells you that this is all going to work in your favor. You will get the opportunity and 'win' that you have been seeking. It's going to happen, even if you don't feel like it is. Justice tells us that what is right is what will happen next. Be still and patient- but not fearful. Things are about to go in your favor faster than you think.
