Iris X Reading of the Week/Week beginning on 4/20/26:

Greetings to the friends of Iris X Readings! It's Spring in Vermont, which means that last week it was hot and humid and this week is cold out again! As for me, I prefer the in-betweens best. There are the smallest of plants coming back outside. Bloodroot is popping up all over my yard. Bright yellow forsythias are making the world look bright even with all of the rain. Daffodils and Myrtle flowers can be seen. And the tiniest Yarrow, Rue and Mugwort. The roses are budding and the trees too, and I hope you are enjoying the up and down of Spring. This week, I am working with an old favorite- the Visconti Sforza Tarot from the 15th century. I asked the cards for a reading for someone who will see this post. Read on and see if it is for you.

The reading begins with the VII of Swords which is a card of thievery. Something is happening behind your back and you can sense this. This can be a person or a job that is taking the energy that you need away from you. Be careful of who you trust as there are people that don't have your best intentions at heart. It may be time to cut some ties in your life and move on.

The IV of Wands appears next showing the exact opposite of the first card! Here we see a situation of cooperation and success. This is a card of joining forces with others to accomplish great tasks and goals. It is about putting a hand out and having someone take it to work with you. Together, you will have success and abundance.

Next, we have the two Major arcana cards in the reading. While the previous two cards will speak of what is happening in your life- the Major arcana cards will show the important underlying themes. The first of the Major arcana cards is The Star. There is something that is healing and moving forward again. There has been upset which has caused everything to freeze up. With this card, energy moves again. With that energy, you will find yourself feeling better. Creative, inspired and clear about where you are going.

The key to this reading is The Moon. Basically- sit tight. What is happening around you right now is temporary. It is a phase or stage. It will cycle and change and become different and then change again. The key is to become the tide and change along with it. Your power is in your flexible nature right now. And while you may not know what is happening, where you are going or what you are doing- there is an element of magic and mystery threading its way through your life right now. Trust it.

Here's what I see. If this is your reading, there are big things happening in your life. Forces of healing and mystery are a part of your path right now. Everything is changing so fast, that you can't keep up with what is happening. And surrounding you, there are two things. A person or a situation that is trying to drain your power and energy on one side, and good cooperation and opportunities for success on the other. The question is- where will you put your focus, energy and time? Will it be with peace and companionship or thievery and upset? It is up to you- both are in your life. Certainly one is more compelling and gets more of your attention. But with these cards, I wonder if the positive community in your life right now is being overshadowed by something that isn't so good for you. Make sure that you are putting your energy into the right things. You are going through a phase, and you are quite sensitive to the forces and tides out there. But you are aiming towards healing something that has caused a lot of problems for you. The road is opening up, and the phase is shifting. Know who your friends are, and keep them closer than your enemies.
