Iris X Reading of the Week/Week beginning on 8/3/26

Happy August to the friends of Iris X Readings! In Vermont, we have been getting a lot of rain these days. The days are dark and cooler than usual. To be honest- I love it. Nothing makes me more mellow than summer rain. I hope you are all enjoying the season as well. I decided to work with one of my favorite 'gloomy' weather decks- The Hush Tarot, created by Jeremy Hush. It is a fantastic world of birds, magic and mystery. I shuffled the cards, and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. Read on, see if it's for you or someone that you know. Please share and subscribe on my site! (both are free!). Thanks for following and reading. <3

The reading begins with The Moon, which shows things that are shifting and changing. It is a card of illusion and confusion, and it can often be hard to know which end is up. The Moon looks a bit different every single night. Sometimes growing, sometimes diminishing. There are times when it lights up the sky, and other times that it disappears altogether. But it is all an illusion- the Moon is whole all of the time. It's our view that changes. There is a definite pattern and cycle. If this is your reading, you feel like you don't know what is going on right now. The moment you feel like you find a solid place to stand, the earth tilts and shifts and changes again. But while you feel turned around and confused, there is a pattern to what is happening. And it is a cycle. It will not stay like this.

The Knight of Swords appears next, showing a battle to fight. You are moving at a very fast pace right now, and may feel like you have to push back at what is happening around you. With so much challenge around you, what can you do but jump into it all? With this card, you feel defensive and anxious. You are moving at a pace that is not comfortable for you, and things feel like they are changing faster than you are ready for them to change. But, what can you do but run into the wind? So, that is what you are doing.

Justice is next. If this is your reading, be assured that things are happening as they should. This is a card of truth and balance. There are larger forces at work here, and you may be feeling overwhelmed. But the scales are about to be set back into balance. This is a serious card of accountability and clarity; often causing disruption right before peace. There may be things that have to be cut away for the scales to be set in balance. What has been unfair and out of balance is about to shift and change. Something has been intuitively 'not right'. It's not going to stay like that.

The key to this reading is the IX of Pentacles. It is a card about finding your own way and pace. The best thing that you can do is to move at the speed you feel most comfortable with. Don't be pulled into chaos, if you can avoid it. Spend time tending your plants and watching the birds. You can get a lot done by moving at a more calm pace and you will feel more comfortable. It's ok if you want space to yourself; this card is connected by number to the Hermit. There are times that it makes sense to stay in our own world doing what we do. You don't always have to push; sometimes you can just Be.

Here's what I see. If this is your reading, you have been feeling really unsure about something for quite some time. You feel like you don't know which end is up or what to do next. There may be a cycle or pattern to it all, but it is not easy to discern. You have been really busy on top of this, and running headlong into challenges that you have to manage. It's been one thing after another, and you feel like you don't know what to expect at this point. It's hard to count on anything when it's constantly shifting. But while you are running around, there are some pretty big forces at work. The Moon and its cycles appear to bring you to a place of Justice. Something hasn't been ok for quite some time, and the scales are about to come back into a place of balance. What has been unfair to you should be letting up. There's a way that things are meant to go, and the universe will have no choice but to make it so. There are things larger than you that are spinning the wheel right now. So,the best thing you can do is keep your head down and focus on the work that you are doing. Putter about and get things done at your own pace. Don't be pulled into the chaos- it is going to resolve itself in your favor. Just let it all be, and do your thing. Draw lines, hang out with plants and animals... and stay out of the fray. With the Moon, there may be things that are not as they appear, so look closely and be discerning. Watch from the outside, it is all going to resolve itself at this point without your interference. You can put down your sword and take a rest- there is something else that will make sure it all goes as it should.
