Iris X Reading of the Week/Week beginning on 4/6/26:
Hello to the friends of Iris X readings! Right before I got hurt, I bought a new Tarot deck for myself, and today... I Just Remembered this! It's like a brand new deck twice! I got it at The Humble Mug in downtown Brattleboro where they keep Tarot cards on the tables to peruse as you drink your tea. My kind of place. I shuffled The Tarot of Woodland Wardens by Jessican Roux, and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. Read on and see if it's for you or someone that you know! Please share <3.
The reading begins with The Fool and shows a free spirit without a care or a plan in the world. This is a card of new beginnings and freedom. If this is your reading, you are innocently going with the flow and trying to not control too many things in your life. You float through, seize opportunities as they come and see life as an incredible adventure. You don't want to force your ways on others.. not even yourself. You like to wake up and approach the day in a free and lighthearted way.
The Wheel of Fortune comes up next, showing you that this is an important time in your life. You are living your life in a way that is fitting in with the powers of fate. There is a larger picture, and you are only part of that. It is possible that you are about to be swept up by these larger powers, and may find yourself somewhere Quite different than you choose to be. The Wheel spins, and it can be quite dizzying. You may feel like you are in the washing machine on the spin cycle, just looking for a still place to stand.
The Devil is a concern in this reading, as it shows the potential for draining your energy or even getting involved with something that is not good for you. Pay attention to your instincts, and make sure to maintain your independence. Be conscious of what might try to chain you- it's not where you are meant to be. There may be traps along the way to step around.
The key is the II of Wands. This is the only Minor arcana card in the reading- all of the rest are major forces that are spinning around and through you. The Minor arcana card tells you what to Do. The II of Wands shows you making plans for the future. It is a card of knowing where you are going and what you are doing, even if it is in a 'bigger picture' kind of way. You are meant to take your walking stick and leave what you have established.
Here's what I see. I like that you are a Fool- it's one of my favorites in Tarot. Fools are not trying to control anything, they are just trying to experience life. But I worry that you may get spun into situations that are not good for you by not having an overall plan or larger direction. And this could lead you into blindly walking with trust into a really tough situation that will make you feel drained and exhausted. I would say that the key here is having a Big Picture plan. Leave it open ended enough that you are able to follow your instincts and have freedom. But pay some level of attention to being on the right track for your overall goals. Be very conscious of not stumbling into something that will end up being an unhealthy situation for you. Know what you are looking for and what you want to do. Understand your larger path while letting the day by day plans be influenced by the whims of the fool and the winds of fate. And watch out for the Devil! Always gets you before you notice it's happening! Don't repeat mistakes of the past.
