Iris X Reading of the Week/Week beginning on 12/29/25:
Happy holidays to the friends of Iris X Readings! This week's reading was done on the Minchiate al Cigno- a Tarot deck from Bologna, 1775. I have always been drawn to the old traditional Tarot decks, though they are challenging (or perhaps Because they are challenging.) This one is not an easy one to follow. The order is not familiar. The 12 zodiac signs and the Virtues are added. This is a 97 card Tarot deck, and takes some work to understand. I shuffled the cards and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. I never know who it will be for until I post it. This one is for someone who feels like they are lost, floating, and not sure of what to do. Read on- see if it's for you or someone that you know.
The reading begins with The Fool. If this is your reading, you are feeling like you are lost. You are not sure where you are going or what you are doing, but you are trying to keep a light heart. You are open to new possibilities, and willing to 'go with the flow' to see what opportunities present themselves. You are at a time where you can do whatever you want right now- but the problem is that you don't know what to do. And you can't be sure that you are not just being foolish.
The card Libra comes up next in the reading, showing you as a person who is quite sensitive to the world around you. Libra tends to have their nerves on the outside. They pick up on everything around them, and are easily set off balance. It is important to keep your life and scales in a state of equilibrium right now. You may be overthinking something and causing your scales to be in a state of discord. You are feeling and sensing everything, and it's important to know what to filter out.
Judgment appears next, telling you that your vision will clear up. This is a card of clarity and purpose- knowing who you are and why you are here in this time and place. With Judgment, you come back to life after feeling like you don't know where to go. Your problem of feeling like you don't know what to do is cleared up, and you have a clear path ahead of you and plan for your future. This is a card that leads to vocation and completion. You may be closer to this than you think you are.
The key to this reading is the Knight of Pentacles. This is a card of movement that is slow and deliberate. You may not be rushing towards your goals at a high speed, but you are taking a route that will most certainly get you there. The Knight of Pentacles takes the long way to get where they are going, but they always arrive. Some would say, right on time.
Here's what I see. If this is your reading, you feel like you don't know what you are doing. You don't have a solid plan, and you are not sure if this is the foolish path to take. Your mind is spinning and you are picking up on everything around you- everything that is said about you, all of the feelings of all that you know, the movement of the planets, the phase of the Moon- it's all affecting you strongly. And while you feel like you are blindly spinning your wheels, your life is actually moving forward in a grounded and successful way. This time of confusion should give way soon. While you are Feeling confused, you are actually moving forward with purpose right now. You are getting where you are going, even if it takes a long time to get there. It's ok to be The Fool right now and to not know where you are going. I suspect that if you wander far enough you will find your way. Stay grounded and rooted in who you know yourself to be. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. And follow the winds where they take you, even if other people say you are foolish. You are much more grounded and practical than you are given credit for.
If you need a reading this week, send a message to irisxtarot@gmail.com. Have a great week! I hope you are surviving the holiday season! As an FYI, I will be on vacation starting on 1/7, so if you would like a reading- get in touch soon! Spots are quickly filling up. Thanks for reading and supporting me every week!
