Iris X Reading of the Week/Week beginning on 9/16/24:

This week's reading was done on the Santa Muerte Tarot Book of the Dead by Fabio Listrani. This is one of my favorite Tarot decks- the imagery, colors and feeling of it. And strangely- I had forgotten about it since last Autumn. Admittedly, I have quite a few Tarot decks. It got buried. I was surprised to come upon it- I can't believe that I forgot about it! Perhaps it prefers the Autumn season- and we are just a few days away from the beginning of the Fall. It looks like it is going to be quite hot in New England right up until then, and then- the season will shift. I shuffled the Tarot deck, and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. Read on and see if it's for you. 

The reading begins with The Hanged Man. If this is your reading, you feel as though you are suspended between paths, and you are not sure which way to go. You have felt like you are in the 'in between' for quite a long time, and you are waiting for an idea or inspiration to come to you. It's a hard crossroads to be at right now, and you feel like you want to move forward. But you can tell that it is a good time to wait- it's not yet time to move. And you know that you could use the peace of not deciding for the moment. 

Temperance appears next and tells you to be calm. You don't have to choose a black and white way, and there may even be a third potential path to take. Try to lighten up the situation and look at things in a different way than you have before. Your answer may look more like a mixture of a few different paths, and you are having a hard time finding it because you are trying to choose one thing. Take a deep

breath and hold everything a bit more lightly. 

Knight of Cups reminds you to move like the river; reacting to what is in your path as you go. There are times when we are meant to make big changes, and there are other times that the changes are happening At you, and you just have to react. Long term, you will be able to regain control of everything and make a difference, but in many ways- you are along for the ride right now. Move like water, and become what you need to be moment by moment. Be more like water than stone- flexible but ultimately impactful. 

The key to the Reading is Santa Muerte- Death in traditional Tarot. There is a lot that is changing right now. In fact, when you look back on this time, you will realize that this is the moment when everything changed. Nothing will be the same after this time period. You may be trying to decide what to do- but this is not how it all works. Sometimes, you have to let a larger force take over in your life, and see what remains after. 

Here's what I see. If this is your reading, you are trying to make a decision on what is going to happen in your life. But your life is not moving like that right now. You are in a pivotal and transformational moment. It is not about your actions - you have to react to what happens moment by moment. Try to stay centered and balanced, and know that you will do better if you don't go to extremes right now. The path forward is changing, and you are going to do best if you adjust to what is happening instead of trying to impose a narrative on everything. It may be hard to feel like you are giving up power or control of your life, but things are unfolding as they are meant to. You will waste your energy trying to make things happen. You just have to hold on for the ride. Everything will change after this, but it will not be due to your choices. There are larger fateful forces at play, and even your willpower can not contend with that. Hold off.. see what happens. Stay centered and hold everything lightly.
