This week's reading was done on the Botanica Oculta Tarot. It is a beautiful deck of herbs and divination which felt appropriate for the week of the Summer Solstice. The Sun is at the height of power and the plants are growing with the light. I shuffled the cards and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. I never know who it will be for until I post it. Read on- see if it's for you!
The reading begins with the III of Cups. This is a card of friendship and community, and the person that this reading is for needs both. If this is your reading, you have been through a hard time, and need to feel surrounded by good friends to start the healing process. This suggests that you have people around you- but other cards in the reading say that you don't always access the friends that you have when you need them.
The Star appears next as a card of healing. You are just starting to feel better after something that really hurt you. Everything has felt 'stuck' in your life for a long time, and now it is finally starting to move forward again. The inspiration that you seek is within reach right now, and feeling enchanted will help you to move forward and heal.
The IX of Swords shows you feeling isolated and upset. You are not telling people much- but you are really worried and hurt right now. You feel like you can't rest because worries just pile up on you. You don't really know what to do with your feelings so you are hiding them from just about everyone. You may be up at night worrying- and then during the day, you function as if everything is ok.
The VI of Swords is the key to the week. You are in an in between space right now. You have moved away from a harmful situation and you haven't quite gotten to where you are going. You feel like you are not in the past anymore, but you don't know what the future will hold. This is an uncomfortable time, but you are healing from something really big.
Here's what I see. If this is your reading, you have been through a really hard time. You are pushing yourself to feel better and 'faking it til you make it'. During the day, you move forward like there's no problem. But at night and times of rest, you just can't settle your mind. Here's the thing- you have good people in your life- community and friends that are able to help you. But you don't ask for what you need because you don't want to trouble anyone. You are healing either way- but you could do it in a way that you are not feeling so lonely. You are still getting past a really painful time in your life, and some company and distraction will be good for you. You are not troubling anyone.
If you need a reading this week, send a message to email@example.com. Have a great week and don't be too hard on yourself. Healing takes time.
