Iris X Reading of the Week/Week beginning on 1.30.23:

A few weeks ago, I did the weekly reading with The Pulp Tarot by Todd Alcott. People loved the deck so much that I thought I would do another reading with them! I shuffled the cards and asked for a reading for someone who will read this post. I never know who it will be for until I post it. Read on and see if it is for you.

Judgement comes up first, showing a rebirth for the person that this reading is for. You have been going through a dark and challenging time, and you are trying to reach up out of the ground to come back to life. Things are just starting to make sense to you, and you have clarity about where you want to go next. You feel like you are ready to move onto the next stage of your life.

The III of Swords shows that this isn't as easy as you would like it to be. Sometimes, you think you see the light at the end of the tunnel. Other times, you are very upset. Your heart has three swords in it, and it makes it hard to move on. You are still hurting, and wishing that you could move through this faster.

The Hanged Man shows you in a state of suspension. You are at a crossroads, and you haven't quite decided which way you are going to go. You feel like you are stuck- going through the same story over and over again. There is a lot of wisdom that you can gain right now, but this is hard when you are upside down. From this perspective, see if you can think outside the box. You may be missing or not understanding something, and that is why you are still hanging.

The key to the week is Temperance. Try to stay calm. Keep one foot on the water and one foot on the land. You don't have to do this all at once, and going to extremes will make things more challenging. Take a deep breath and relax. Don't go from zero to sixty- that's not how healing happens. Stay centered and calm. Let in new experiences a bit at a time. Be tempered.

Here's what I see. If this is your reading, you are ready to come back to life after something that really knocked you down and stopped you in your tracks. You often think that you are healed and feeling better, and then- you remember that you have three Swords in your heart. You are hurting, and it doesn't go away quickly. You feel frustrated and stuck; like you should have been able to move on by now. But this is not how things work. You have to heal a little bit at a time. Stay calm, centered, and mellow. You are trying to move too fast, and this is understandable. The pain of the III of Swords is really uncomfortable to sit with. But you can't do it all at once. It's going to be a process. Stay patient and grounded.
