Good Morning and Happy Moon day to the friends of Iris X Readings! Every week, I shuffle the cards and ask for a reading for someone who will read this post. I never know who it will be for until I post it. This week's reading was done on the Santa Muerte Tarot.
The week begins with the V of Swords, which is not an easy place to begin a week. If this is your reading, you are in a situation that you may have to extricate yourself from. With the V of Swords, you are with a person that thinks that everything is about them. It is a card of selfishness and ego that becomes too much to bear. There is no amount of talking to this person that will improve the situation; the best thing that you can do is cut your losses and walk away.
The King of Cups comes up next. This is the mastery of the heart and of the water suit. If this is your reading, you are doing your best to stay afloat in constantly shifting waters right now. You are managing your emotions quite well even if it is not easy. The suit of cups and water is constantly shifting and changing. You are learning to adapt, and to be like the water around you. Or- as Leonard Cohen said, 'If you don't become the ocean, you'll be seasick every day.'
The VIII of Cups wraps up the week with the need to take a walk. Something is not working or coming together right, and you have to figure out what is wrong. This shows you walking away from the situation in the first card and seeking to find out why this has happened. Go wander in the woods with a question and seek an answer. You need some space to think right now.
The key to this week is the X of Swords. You have been going through a hard time for so long that you are getting used to it. The key is that you are closer to the end of challenges than you might think you are. With this card, things have been hard for a while. You feel like you have been stabbed in the back, and now it is time to move on and transform.
Here is what I see. If this is your reading, you are in a relationship with someone that is not working for you. You can't make any changes with that person, and when you try- you feel like you are just running into a wall. You are used to this because it has been going on for so long. You may even compensate for this person. But the fact is- you are stuck in a situation with someone that can only see things from their eyes. You are actually managing everything quite well as the King, even if you feel like you are sinking at times. It seems that it is time to walk away, and wrap up this time of your life. There are better things ahead; and you are in a situation where you just can't win right now. You are the King- which means, you will be ok. But first- you have to get un-stuck.
