Iris X Reading of the Week/ Week beginning on 9/4/23:

Hello to the friends of Iris X readings! This week's reading was done on the Santa Muerte Tarot- one of my favorites. It is wonderfully vibrant and has great imagery. I shuffled the cards, and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. I never know who it will be for until I post it. Read on and see if it's for you! 

The reading begins with the High Priestess who opens up a door. If this is your reading, you are at a very important moment in time. You can probably sense that something powerful is happening. You are following your intuition and focusing on your spiritual well being. You may be feeling the need for more space to yourself to focus on things that are sacred. 

Santa Muerte appears next, which is Death in this deck. You are going through a major transition. While it is tempting to look at it as an ending, this card reminds you that while something has come to an end in your life, there is something new that is growing. You are in a time in your life where everything is changing, and things are becoming more clear. 

The VIII of Wands appears next as the only Minor arcana card in this reading. You are noticing things happening around you. This is a card of signs and messages. There are a number of communications coming through to you, and it may feel like a lot to make sense of. It's hard to know where to start. 

The Hierophant is the key to the reading. It may be wise to speak with someone who can help guide you. Hierophant translates to 'the person who teaches holy things.' You seem to be at a time in your life where your spirituality is opening up. It can be good to have a guide or a person to ask questions of. Some structure could be helpful as well as someone to point you in the right direction. It may be time to seek a teacher. 

Here's what I see. If this is your reading, you are going through a time of major change in your life. Something that was very important to you has come to an end, leaving you in a place that feels 'in between.' In this time, you have a lot of wisdom opening up to you. You feel like you can see things more clearly. But suddenly, everything is coming to you all at once, and it's overwhelming. You are having a hard time making sense of it all. A person that teaches sacred/holy things may be helpful. It is good to have a guide to ask questions of when so much is happening at once. Just know that this is a very important time to pay attention to the signs and teachings around you.
