Happy Moon day to the friends of Iris X Readings! Every week, I shuffle the cards and ask for a message for someone who will read this post. I never know who it will be for until I post it! This week's reading was done on the Herbcrafter's Tarot; a gorgeous deck that pulls in the various plants and trees to weave into the Tarot messages.
This week's reading begins with the Five of Air/White Sage. This is a card of clearing away something that is no longer working for you. If this is your reading, then you had to recently cut a tie with a person or situation that was draining you. You had tried to find a way to make things better, but it didn't work. You had to cut ties to preserve your own sanity. This is a card of purification and clearing- there is something that you just sent away in your life to clear the path for something new.
Now, you are trying to build up a stable future with the Four of Earth/Willow. You are holding back and laying low, figuring out how to make the right choices. A basket is being woven in this image, step by step. It may even be helpful to work with a craft or with your hands in some way as you heal. You are holding a lot back right now, keeping a lot of words to yourself. But there are some things that you just don't need to say. And so, you weave your basket very deliberately, keeping your eyes on your task and taking a break.
The Star/Cottonwood wraps up the week as the card of healing from something that has really hurt your heart. Right now is a time to get your power and inspiration back. It may be a while since you have felt creative, and you are just starting to feel that spark again. You are waking back up after a long time of being emotionally asleep and quiet. Let yourself move slowly, and follow your inspirations and ideas. It doesn't have to result in anything big; you are just getting your creative powers up and running again!
The key to this week is the II of Air/Chicory. This is a card of defense and holding back. It is knowing when to say no and when to take a break. With the II of Swords, you protect your heart and let yourself heal. You let things stay still. Nothing big has to change right now- you already did that. With the II of Air, nothing is growing and nothing is diminishing. You are in a truce. A place of quiet and peace.
Here's what I see. If this is your reading, you walked away from something that was causing you to feel unhappy. Now that you have done that, you are wanting to stay quiet and still. You are comfortable focusing on projects and tasks. You do well if you are busy with your hands. You are just starting to feel your inspiration and creativity begin to return. It has been a really long time since you have felt like this. Lay low, be still, work on crafts. It's ok if you need to turn down social engagements for a while, follow your instinct to hold back, recover and heal. It's good for your soul. Protect your heart and take a break.
Take care this week, and if you need a reading, send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org.
